As a non-American on an American owned site, it is kind of strange to be subjected to American views of morality and sexuality, since it differs from those in my own culture. I have always watched American media, like movies and tv shows, so I know how it works. But I didn’t think about me actually having to conform to it, you know?

This strange view of the body as dangerous or sexuality as something entirely separate from the human experience? In my own culture we tend to view these things as one whole. We learn about the body because we have bodies and we see sex as a part of life. (Our school sex ed is called “Knowledge about sex and living together”).

Tumblr has attracted artists partly because its structure is good for sharing pictures. So it’s built on artists. It seems so strange to me to think that you would think you can just separate one artist from another, one piece from the next, like you could draw a line. Then you get ridiculous rules like “No female nipples please”.

As though you could ever have art or culture without an exploration of the body? Or sex and sexuality?

Guys, I’m going to put this out here for ALL artists who draw nsfw:

Separate your SFW accounts from your NSFW accounts using a separate email address right now.

Make sure you back up your blogs at The Wayback Machine as soon as you can.

A few of us have noticed some stuff on Tumblr where blogs have been deleted for having “child pornography” when all the drawn characters are over the age of 18 (and no, not “aged up” content. actual adults).

Don’t let this be another Livejournal strikethrough. Back up your stuff now.

How to separate a main blog and a side blog:

–> Make a new tumblr account with a new email and verify it.
–> On your old account, click the human icon beside the pencil at the top right corner of Tumblr. This opens all of your attached blogs.

–> Go to the “Members” page of each side blog you wish move.

–> Put in your new blog’s email for each of the side blogs you wish to move. This will link the blogs together.

–> Confirm your linked blog(s) in your new blog’s email account.
–> On your old blog, Go back to the member’s page of each side blog on your old blog and appoint your new blog as an “admin”.

–> Click “Delete this blog” on your OLD BLOG you are separating.

Your blogs will now be on separate email accounts. Congratulations.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL NOT TO DELETE THE WRONG BLOG. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY. BE VERY CAUTIOUS.

Might do this with my sewing and sfw blog

Have to remember to do this as soon as I come home tonight!

Well, we made it less than 24 full hours before exclusionists tried to pin the epic fucking failure of @staff onto aces and inclusionists.

Because everything in the free world that goes wrong is somehow all of our faults, amirite?

and sadly enough I am completely unsurprised. a bunch of them seem to like finding stuff to use to mock or vilify aces, I swear to gods.

what the fuck

Hi, yeah? See this? It’s wrong. If you are celebrating the bans or blaming communities for it, you are part of the problem.

Here is my more concise post about where I’ll be after the tumblr exodus. I’m not deleting this blog and will continue to post female-presenting-nipple-free images, which doesn’t include Hanzo apparently, but here’s where I’ll be blogging otherwise:

Twitter @suzann_art (I’m very active here and so far no restrictions on the nasty)

Instagram @suzann_art

Again, I can’t thank you enough and I’m so grateful for your enthusiasm, support for my work, and the geniune friends I’ve made on here! I’m looking at pillowfort (when they get their site back up and running) so that will likely be where I head next and I’ll be sure to update on what happens!
