Overdrive has a new mobile app called LIBBY I find it easier to use. It’s the same content as Overdrive just better for mobile. Overdrive and Libby both let you send items to your kindle as well.

You know what my favorite feature is? If I don’t finish an audiobook and it’s on hold so I can’t renew it or I forget to renew it… the next time I check it out IT STILL REMEMBERS MY PLACE FROM THE LAST TIME I CHECKED IT OUT.
Alright I won’t give spoilers for specific things but hm where to start
– takes place about 10,000 years in the future in a timeline where vampires took over the world back in 1999
– only 90s kids remember
– they were holders of all sorts of amazing tech that let them alter gravity and weather
– built ridiculously fast cars, highway networks, underwater cities, self-sustaining coffins that could operate for 2 million years, and basically lived like royalty
– humans call them “the nobility”
– preyed on humans (all gasp)
– that’s why I like these vampires. everything turned up to 100 and TECHNOLOGIES
– where we are though, they’re way past their golden age and have been on the decline for a long time
– most of their civilizations are in ruins and there’s relatively few vamps left
– Dhampirs are a thing and D is one of them
– but he’s *~*~special~*~* and not like other dhampirs because is dad was the grandmaster og vampire
– a god figure with all the typical god powers, referred to by all other vamps as the Sacred Ancestor (D’s dad, not D)
– Dad has been trying to find a way to save his vamps from extinction by experimenting to produce some sort of creature
– they’ve all largely sucked until D
– is now Favorite Son who is somehow supposed to allow him to achieve his goal and he keeps trying to push D in the desired direction
– D has a bug too tho and unfortunately it’s hating being part-vampire, hating other vampires, hating his dad and making it his mission to eventually kill him and taking out as many of his kind as possible along the way
– should consider relabeling him as his “only success” to “biggest self-own”
– keeps trying to upload a patch but D isn’t having it
– most of what I just told you was backstory but it’s also kind of now-story
– when we drop in we’re following D around as he travels to various geographical locations to give vampires and other creatures of the night the Smack
– everything kind of sucks for humans, living is hard when you have monsters running around all the time (remnants of what the vampires had fun creating)
– his occupation is bounty hunter who always has people running to him to take care of their vampire problems
– great excuse to chase his dream while making a hundred billion dollars a hour
– he’s so fucking loaded he altered earth’s gravitational pull
– it’s sad though because people still generally treat him shittily because of his vamp status
– there are a TON of novels here, like 27, and Kikuchi just keeps going so they’re kind of episodic
But this is missing the real context. They were arguing over the value of marriage in a committed relationship. Barack often argued that if they loved eachother the marriage was unnecessary. And *that* is the argument he started before proposing to her

Hello everyone! So much has happened over the last
week and we want to keep you all updated with what’s going to be
happening over the next few weeks.
Invites
– We’re sending out the rest of our invitations today for payments that
were submitted between Dec 4 at 3:45 PM PST and Dec 5th at midnight
PST. If you sent a payment during that time period or earlier but don’t
receive your invitation by later today, then a) check your spam folder! Yahoo and
Hotmail in particular seem to like to filter our automated emails as
spam, and then b) email us at info@pillowfort.io
if you still haven’t gotten your invite. If you sent a payment after
Dec 5th at midnight PST then we are aiming to send out your invite later
this week.
Pillowfort Now Has Over 25,000 Users!
To put this in perspective, at the beginning of this year we had only
4,000. The positive thing about the recent influx of new users is that
the registration payments have given us more funding for developers and
other expenses, which will result in a more robust infrastructure for
the site in the near future. The unfortunate result in the meantime is
slower load times as the site deals with the unprecedented amount of
traffic. We realize that many users are coming to the site as an
alternative to Tumblr, and we certainly hope that we can meet those
expectations soon! Right now, Pillowfort is still a small team, and we
hadn’t expected to have such a huge influx of potential users arrive on
our doorstep all at once, so it will take us a little time to catch up.
But rest assured we are working as hard as we can.
PR Assistant
– Pillowfort is looking for a part-time public relations assistant to
help us manage our communications with all our new and upcoming users!
This person will primarily be responsible for helping us respond to
inquiries through our social media accounts and email, and drafting our
outreach materials. Pay will be around $15/hr and it is best if you live
